Morbo - A Quien Le Echamos La Culpa?
In stock
Twelve tracks of energetic, garage-style mid-tempo punk from these veteran punks from Peru. Following in the footsteps of legendary 1960s Peruvian rockers LOS SAICOS, MORBO has been playing their own raw, direct, and unique brand of music for over twenty years. This album offers a wide range of styles, with a strong first- and second-wave punk influence and a few unexpected twists along the way.
From the nihilistic funeral march of “Poema de un Libro Escolar,” to the spaghetti western cowpunk ride of “El Loco,” and even a weird synth track to close things out – it’s a wild and fun trip. Whenever I hear the killer opener “Aquí No Hay Nadie,” I can’t help but picture it being played by a band of angry, Spanish-speaking Muppets... but that probably says more about me than it does about the record.
