Anti-Nowhere League - The Cage - LP

Anti Nowhere League are one of the most important representatives of the so-called second wave of punk. Their debut album, We Are The League, is one of the classics of the genre, and the legacy of this crew is claimed by musicians from bands such as Metallica and Rancid. ANL have been going their own way from the start, mixing hard rock and metal influences alongside punk in their songs. After the band's decline at the turn of the 80s and 90s, the band returned with even greater force, and have been touring relentlessly around the world ever since. The band released their latest album The Cage in 2016 on the American label Cleopatra. Featuring Animala's gruff vocals and Motörhead-tinged guitar solos, the twelve powerful tracks drive forward with unflagging punk directness. This collection also includes a tribute to old bard Charlie from the UK Subs and an alcoholic anthem called God Bless Alcohol.
